Frequently Asked Questions
How much does therapy cost?
Each 45 minute session is $150.00
What if I'm not sure if I need couples counseling?
I work from a systemic perspective, meaning that I believe one person can change a system or pattern in a relationship. In our initial consultation we will talk about your goals, and I can help assess what type of session would be most helpful.
I am coming in for a specific sexual issue, should I bring my partner?
It depends-- some sexual issues can be addressed individually. Some sexual issues speak to a larger problem in the relationship. We will talk about how to tell the difference in our first session.
What will happen during the first visit?
We will spend some time getting to know each other. I will explain what to expect from a therapist, and give a little bit of information about me. You can talk about what brought you in, and give some background information about yourself.
If therapy with me feels like a good fit (we'll also talk about how to be good consumers of therapy), we will schedule our next appointment, and I will send you home with some paperwork.
Can I use my health insurance?
I am only "in-network" with Pacific Source. However, you may still have "out-of-network" benefits with your insurance. Please call your insurance company before scheduling an appointment to find out. (Most of the time, you will have a higher deductible, or co-pay.)
I am unable to accept OHP or Tricare.
Please bring your insurance card to our first session.
